Dr. John Alfred "Jack" Reinecke

I knew Jack for many years as a colleague at UNO, but my fondest memories of him come from the years we spent working together as board members and volunteers for the Friends of the UNO Library. I loved his generosity, his practicality, and his dry sense of humor. I'm so pleased that I had the opportunity to know him.

I am very sad to hear about Dr. Reinecke's passing. He was one of my professors in the UNO MBA program and was the best professor I had in my years at UNO. He and a select group of other faculty members in the 60's and 70's gave UNO the reputation for academic excellence which helped to build the middle class in metro New Orleans.

Rest in peace great man, professor, and colleague.

As a student of the first graduating class of LSUNO `62 I had both Reinecke brothers as my teachers. By `61-62 classes were small and a lot of individual attention was given to us. Dr Reinecke was a very good instructor,attentive, and a knowledgeable in his field. Probably been since graduation that I´ve seen him but his teachings in marketing served me well in life.
