Dr. Gardner was one of the best micro/genetics teachers I've had. My thoughts go out to you seniora.

Ken's presence at Yerkes was one of the reasons I keep coming back every year (20 years after I finished my graduate study at the observatory). He was a dear friend who I will always miss.

Dr. Gardner, along with his wife, were two of my favorite teachers in High School. He will be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.

Dr. Gardner was a great influence on me going into the sciences. He just made science so fun and easy to understand. He was an excellent educator and will be missed.

Dr. Gardner was an amazingly special and inspiring teacher. He showed me what empathy should look like, and his passion and enthusiasm for science empowered me as a student. His teaching will truly live on in those of us who continue to educate and model ourselves after him. You will be missed!
