Not sure what to say?

It is now March, 2020, and I still think of Dr. de Souza and my many appointments with him to save my ankles. I will always be grateful that I won the lottery when I was assigned to him upon calling the Orthopedics Dept. at HCMC. We talked about a lot of other things, as well: his writing, his bad ankle, the Olympics in Atlanta, my life. Such an empathetic man. All doctors should follow his example.

Dear dolly and family
Please accept our heart felt condolences on the passing away of dr Leo. We were so privileged to have met him and interacted with him on his trip to Goa. He was such a thorough gentleman and a warm and affectionate person. So very polite and dignified that he will live in our hearts forever. May his soul rest in peace and may god give you and all the family members the strength to bear this loss. With love and prayers Tito, Debra, Royceton and Rosslyn. Goa

My condolences' to the family. Dr. De Souza was a friend of the family in Tanga, Tanzania and subsequently in Willowdale, Canada. He was very knowledgeable and personable.

Dr. de Souza is the reason I am walking today. Both of my ankles had collapsed and he saved them. He was a kind, funny, expert doctor whom many people will miss. My sympathy to his family.

In 1993, an accident resulted in my need for ankle surgery at U of MN Hospital. Dr. de Souza was my surgeon, and was able to use the surgery as a teaching opportunity. I have never forgotten his kindness and professionalism. I know he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. May God comfort you.

Thinking of your family and wishing you comfort and peace.

Molly Anderson - Methodist Hospital

I had the pleasure of working in the orthopaedic office of HCMC from 1986-1987. All the doctors were great to work for but Dr. de Souza was especially kind and delightful. I'm sorry for your loss.
