fond memories of Niall as outstanding PhD student, snooker player, wit. Couldt't enough admire his tenacity in defending himself during protracted and perhaps disgraceful examining of his PhD thesis. He was ever graceful and gracious.

LUCY (Niall ): Our dear friend and colleague, collaborator and correspondent, comrade and confidant for so many years. We will forever miss this unique man, his unequalled intellect and profound egalitarianism. Gentle always with all he met. Devastating with his keyboard when we all needed him to be. LUCY (Prof Niall Anthony): Died peacefully at home in Fremantle, surrounded by love, Thursday the 5th of June. Beloved father of Dylan, husband of Sam, stepfather of Jakeb and Hannah, brother to Judith, nephew to Paddy, and friend to so many.
