An awesome man. I knew him from my time in the 35th Engineer Brigade. Met him again in his role as Superintendent. My dad actually knew him from the Guard and education as well. He will be missed.

A Gentleman and a Scholar are the first two words that come to mind when thinking of Dr. Sam McGowen. Thanks to Patty Peek for introducing me to Sam and Sue only 8 years ago. What a gift to have worked with him on the first community event at the new auditorium.
