Not sure what to say?

Dear Naye, You had to leave me nearly 18 years ago. I miss you so much. Tears are flowing today the same as they did Jan. 3, 2006. I know you are in a better place but I selfishly still miss you. Every time I hear someone say something about their SISTER, my soul aches. I am blessed to have 2 brothers but you were my only sister, my best friend, my confident, my advisor and you shared my memories of childhood fantasies. I speak to your spirit when no one else can replace my longing for a ...

Heaven gained an angel on this day. Missing you dear friend .

Today is Jan. 3, 2008 and it has been 2 years. In many ways it feels like it is still Jan. 3, 2006 because I cannot forget that day. As a family our love for you has not changed and our tears have not stopped but we are feeling blessed in knowing that you are in a much better place. Your friends have been awesome in their loving support and we love them as we know that you did. You will never be far from me and we will meet again.
I love you Sister,

Kim

Happy Birthday! Drenaye
3/3/2006
I miss you very much, I know you are free. I said a prayer for you to be free and fly high with the winds over the Atlantic Ocean as we released your ashes today.
Forever Love! From your Sister,
Kim

Mattie, I worked with you at Goose Creek High School and Dubose Middle. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter, Drenaye. You have our deepest sympathy. May God give you and your family strength at this most diffucult time.

In the Name of Jesus, I pray for peace and joy to return to your precious family. Dreney was an friend from high school, and I am so saddened by her passing. She is with Jesus, this I know, even as a young high schooler, she allowed the LIGHT of Jesus Christ to shine through her. To her family, I pray your hearts will be at peace. God bless you all. In His Service, Michele

Mattie and Larry, Our hearlfelt condolences goes out to you and your family. Words cannot fully express our feelings. In your sorrow, be very proud of your daughter. She touched more lives in her short time here than most of us ever will. You guys did an excellent job as parents. As I said, words fail me now but - be well, take care of yourselves and may God continue to bless you and yours. Love, Jim and Mildred Higgins

I am very saddened to have learned of Drenaye’s death. I worked with her at the Department of Justice for many years. I remember fondly her arrival at Justice as a young attorney and I watched her grow in competence and confidence into a strong, dedicated and articulate trial attorney. We worked on many cases together and I could always rely on her judgment and insight. Although I have been gone from the Department for several years, Drenaye’s wonderful personality and joy of life remain...

To Drenaye's parents and family,

Drenaye came to the Department of Justice as an honor grad attorney just a few months after I did, so we knew each other as approximate "classmates" the whole time we were here together. Drenaye became my friend at once, because, well, that's how Drenaye was.

Later, I joined the Region 5 group as a senior lawyer a few months after Drenaye did. I often sought her advice and commiseration, which she graciously, patiently provided. Her...
