Not sure what to say?

I just heard of Duane's passing and was truly shocked. He was truly a person of compassion, fun, intelligence, humor and generosity.
He helped my brother and me in the restaurant business a few years ago, and recently became reaquainted with him through John Ryan. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed and will live on in the hearts of those of us who knew him and cared for him. My sincere sympathies to his family and to Charlie.

To Duane's family,
I'm very sorry to hear about Duane's passing. We went to Boys' Latin together. In high school, he was such a gentle, fun-loving, free spirited character. From the previous guestbook entries, I can tell that he didn't change one bit. The world will miss Duane, but I think a bit of him lives on in his family, friends, and all who knew him.

With deepest sympathy on Duane's passing.

(I worked with Duane at Germano's)

Dear Deb & Max, Bob, George & Sam,

I'm so sorry about Duane. Most of my memories of Duane, too, are from Beavo. You all really had a lot of good times together, and on a regular basis. More so than the average family, I would say. He was so sweet and happy. I hope you all are well, and I miss you so much.

Love, Holly & Dave & boys

To the family of Duane Butts,The memories I have of Duane are few but as others have stated are held fondly ,and closely to my heart. We are in some way shaped by those we meet along our life's path and my encounters with Duane were filled with love and I thank you Duane for that sweet smile and soulful way that helped to shape the goodness in me and keep alive the hope for that same goodness and genuine love in others around me. Peace be with you always.

Dear Deb, Max, Bobbie, George, and Sam,

I am so sorry about Duane's passing. I have such fond memories of him--dating back to when I was little girl meeting him, and all of you, for the first time at Beaver Dam. I can see him in his cut-offs playing "oops, sorry" as if it were yesterday. I will never forget his laughter, beautiful smile, and peace-loving spirit.

I miss all of you so much and I'm so sorry I'll be out of town and unable to make it to Fleet Street on...

Thanks to all of you for your kind words and deeds. Anyone who knew Duane well was aware of his non-desire to go techno so I'm filling in for him. As his big sister, I have nothing but fond and funny memories of Doon, my bro'. He was a unique individual and his prime objective in life was to spread love and peace. He did that very well and lived the life he wanted, making steadfast connections along the way. I love him and will miss him with all my heart.

To Duane's Family,
We want to express our grief and sympathy at losing such a good friend. We will miss Duane so much. I have good memories of him cooking in his back yard. I can see him smoking a cigar wearing a Maryland Terps T-shirt. Rosemary is for remembering. Dana&Jeanine

My sympathy is with your family. Duane was one of my Groomsmen in October of 1990. I found out about his passing from my sister Anne. He is one of a kind.
