Not sure what to say?

I looked up Dr. Cady for medical history and found he had passed. He performed my gall bladder surgery after my son was born. I'll never forget asking him why my ribs hurt after the surgery. His comic reply was, "I had to rest my arms somewhere". He was a kind doctor with a good sense of humor. Rest In Peace, Sir

When my dad was battling a mysterious illness that doctors thought was non-hodgkin's lymphoma but couldn't get a definitive diagnosis, Dr. Cady agreed to serve as his primary care physician, even though this was not his area of expertise. He stayed on my dad's case until finally he was able to get an accurate diagnosis and turn my dad's care over to a great oncologist to start treatment. His calm and reassuring demeanor was such a comfort to my dad and our family. We will be forever...

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Duane Cady. I worked with Dr. Cady at the AMA, assisting him from 2002 - 2005. He was a pleasure to be around, and I will forever cherish the memory of attending a Cubs game with him and the Board of Trustees. May the God of all comfort be with his family now during this time.

What a great physician and person. He leaves a wonderful legacy. My sincere sympathies to his family.

Our deepest sympathy to Joyce and her family on the passing of Duane. He was a wonderful colleague and friend. Duane was a talented surgeon and physician but in addition he was a very good leader especially in the medical community. He did much to advance good medical care for our patients. He did it in a friendly and happy way which made it great to work with him.

Dr. Cady is fondly remembered by my 80 year old mom. About 45 years ago, he operated to remove her gallbladder. On his day off, he had been fishing. Mom was quite sick, and didn’t Dr. Cady show up to see her at the hospital around 11 pm, with his fishing hat on! She vividly recalls the hat festooned with fishing flies. He took great care of her, and she was ever grateful. Wishing his family peace and beautiful comforting memories.

Great guy and a splendid physician. Duane was the complete gentleman and a wonderful friend and colleague. All best wishes to Joyce and the family.

My condolences to Dr Cady’s family. May he Rest In Peace. Mary Coogan Stevenson Stimson, RN
