Not sure what to say?

I will always remember my uncle. I remember how he used to say "Zulich" every time he hit his golf ball in the woods and hoped it would bounce back, I remember how he would be the chef for every event he had, especially camping. One time on our yearly trip he cooked all day for us and was the last to get a plate, at one point after finally making his plate he grabbed a genny and said finally, he took two steps and tripped down the hill, even though he did a complete somersault, he...

Duane was a great mentor. Always made time to demonstrate or explain a technique, procedure or idea. A great listener too. Duane displayed a great sense of humor; Like many in the emergency services field, often dark. A good cook and a great firefighter. You are missed. Rest in peace my brother.

I worked with Hack for many years on BFD. He is a great mentor. Always had time to demonstrate or explain something. He has a great sense of humor and could take it as well as he gave it. You always knew where you stood with Hack, because he lets you know. I am proud to be his friend. Rest in Peace my brother.

I have never met Duane or Margo. Just recently we connected because of a mutual friend. I learned a lot about Danny through them and the letters Margo wrote. . what a special man he must have been. One day I hope to meet his family and learn more about him. . Rest easy Danny.

Dear Hackley family,
May Hack rest in peace and shine his love down upon all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Hack was a true firefighter!
Rest well my friend.

Margo I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I have very fond memories of Duane! He was such a nice friend and fellow firefighter of Michael Bs, I remember all the fun times they had! God Bless you and your family, you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Margo
So sorry to hear about Danny's passing. We had such good times at Westover school and Johnson City High. Thoughts and prayers to all of you,

Started work on the same day,we paired up in class. Worked many fires with him,a good Firefighter and friend.Saw him on occasions , had a few cold ones and he was my brother, will miss him..

Margo , our sympathy to you and your family. Hack and i came on the Fire Dept. together and served a brief time on the truck at headquarters before he went to the squad. Loved his humor . Sometimes it was a game to see who could make the other one laugh first. He will be missed.
