Duane (Curly) Herrick was a wonderful workmate (IBM) and friend. This year especially I'm sure going to miss his Christmas letter. I'm sure I'll see you before too long good buddy! P.S. Give Gina a hug for me.

I worked in Data Processing for the State of Alaska and met Duane when he came to work on our equipment. He was always helpful and nice. I am sorry for you loss. He was a great man.

Duane and I worked together on the 5th floor of the State Office Building, at the Juneau Data Center, in the 1980s. I fondly remember his red socks on Fridays. And always answering my questions and always sharing smiles. When Gina passed, I sent Duane a letter of condolence. He wrote back and (wisely) advised me to hug my wife "a lot". We have taken that advice.
