Duane brought me into Midland the very first day that I came here from California. Over the years, I grew to love his Tales of the Road - and to appreciate his never ending care for the people in his charge. Duane was a wonderful man, whom shall miss terribly.

Nancy, Although we saw Duane (and you) so infrequently, we are saddened to learn of his passing. He was a part of my life, from exploring the fields behind the house on Gratiot to letters during his service, to seeing you at breakfast just a year or so ago. His wry sense of humor will always be unforgettable! Patty (Kirchner) Appold

We are sorry to hear of your loss and send our love and prayers. Mary Jean Rettmann & Susan Leonard

Please accept my deepest sympathies.
