It is with sadness that I read today of Dr. Schmidt's passing. I've worked with him at times over the last few years and found Dr. Schmidt to be a lively engaged thinker, who always had something insightful to share and the next project on his mind. I extend deepest sympathy to all family members from myself and everyone at J.W. Morton & Associates. He will be missed.

I am saddened to hear of Duane's passing. He was a great guy and pioneer in the dental field. He was so positive and I always felt great around him. He was warm and encouraging. I enjoyed our friendship and professional relationship. Although i had not spoken to him recently he was in my thoughts as i drove to iowa city for my teaching day as i passed by the vinton exit. He will be missed.
