Dudley M. Johnson Sr., departed this life December 13, 2009. He was preceded in death by his son, Dudley Johnson Jr.; and sisters, Rachel Blackwell and Martha Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory, his fiancee, Becky Davis; six children, Sandra, Jermell, Chvon, Schwonda Johnson, Maurice Nichols and Melvin Davis; stepdaughter, Debbie Davis; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ollie Tomonia, Julia Harris, Corine Harris and Emma Johnson; one brother, Walter Johnson Jr.; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends, among them devoted Robert "Dook" Blackwell. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave, where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m., with Rev. Ira Hopkins officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery.
