Not sure what to say?

Dudley affected my life forever and a day. Thank you for all you did for me, and with me. You will always be remembered. I love you and will always carry you in my heart. Your friendship, humor, and guidance are treasures I will never be able to replace. My heart goes out to your family. Thank you for bieng my friend.

Dud Smith, my favorite cousin, who at my early age had lived with my parents while getting his degree at Penn State. He was always good at telling it like it really was and the letters he wrote would be at least 3 pages long. Rest in peace at that golf course in the sky. I'll miss your visits here for those PSU football games and a trip to the Ratskeller.

My sincere condolences go out to the family of our friend and mentor, Dudley Smith. His work ethic and humor left us with fond memories back in the 70's when he took on several young kids to work at Silver Lake; where each evergreen was a "Christmas Tree" and "rotaring" made me a man. Thanks Dud!

Dudley was our dear friend for many years. We loved him dearly. You are in my thought. Marlene.Keep in touch. Love, Willy.

I am going to try to make it to the wake tomorrow, but in case I don't, I wanted you to know that there were many of us college kids years ago who worked for Dudley at Silver Lake over the summers. He helped many of us by giving us summer jobs and I have always been thankful for him giving me that opportunity. I am very sorry for your loss.
