Not sure what to say?

He was my favorite teacher! I didn't like chess, but I was in the chess club because of Mr. Stapleford. He really got me thinking and was a huge influence on how I thought about politics. We were both thrilled when I was placed in his government class. He was the best

My X and I met Duke decades ago when we first moved to The Burg. He was a plesant kind man who never spoke badly of anyone. R.I.P.Friend

Sorry I couldn't make it today. I'm getting over covid. Will keep you both in my prayers.

I was thinking a lot this year about you and all I learned in AP Gov as I navigated it with my son! You were a fun teacher!

Duke, you were always a fun and adventurous young man when we were at NVCC! You loved life, sports, and learning about everything. You went to MWC and I attended Radford so we may become teachers and stay young forever! Thank you for being my friend many years ago Duke. The 70's ruled man.

Little did you know, the plant that you seeded would one day lead to me being involved and touring with the Grateful Dead and eventually lead me to becoming the Video Director for Dead and Company. You started a path for me that I could never thank you enough for. You made my career. I will always be indebted to...

I don´t think I have the right words to say for how sorry to hear of his passing.I wish we had stayed closer over the years.I feel sorry for his family and hope the good Lord will hold them close in such a sad time.Good journeys old friend.

For 2 years, Duke was my roommate while at MWC. Rest in peace my friend. "What a long strange trip it´s been."

Mr. Stableford was the type of teacher whose lessons became clearer well after I left his classroom. He was a beautifully unique person who allowed and encouraged his students to be their true selves even when they may have been slightly more rambunctious than had hoped. He gave you the freedom to be you and for that I am forever grateful. Mr. Stableford, I wish you many happy rounds of Disc Golf and endless jam sessions. Thank you. Rest in Peace, Kind Sir.
