Not sure what to say?

I was friends with Dumont way back in the late 1970's at the Hartwick College chapter of AXP. When I first arrived to the house as a pledge and then as a new Brother, I always knew there was one person who treated everyone with loving kindness at AXP and that was Dumont. He was truly a gentleman always, even when surrounded by a bunch of young and sometimes out of control colleged aged guys. I just found out today that Dumont left us in 2006 and was very sad to hear so. My condolences go out...

If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
I would walk right up to heaven
And bring you home again

My heart is still in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one can ever know

Since you'll never be forgotten
I pledge to you today
A hallowed place within my heart
Is where you'll always stay.

Love, Annre

My condolences to the family of Dumont. I was a brother of his at Hartwick's Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity and also a fellow art major studying glass. Dumont, as an elder classman, was always helpful and guiding. He will be thought of forever.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dumont. I met Dumont during the Fall of my Freshman year at Hartwick, he was one of the reasons I chose to become a brother of Alpha Chi Rho... Dumont was a perfect example of our brotherhood. My sincere condolences to his family and brothers he loved so much.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I just learned of the sad news last weekend. I was a fraternity brother of Dumont at Harwick College. I have many fond memories of Dumont that I will never forget.

So sorry to learn of Dumont's passing and for your loss. There are many great memories from Oneonta, Lake Pleasant and Norwich that carry on. DuMont is truly one of the great one's and he will be missed.

My heartfelt condolences to the Elmendorf family for your loss. He and I shared two years living across from each other at the Alpha Chi Rho house at 50 Maple Street. Many nights we spent together conversing long into the night, and I prized his intellect, quick wit, easy laugh, and love of a spirited debate. My memories of Dumont will be cherished forever.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Dumont was a kind person, thoughtful and astute. As I sit here stunned, I look for any kind of lesson I (we) could learn, & hopefully living each day more fully will help me remember a very creative, really nice guy, & generous "Brother".

Dear Elmendorf Family: Although it's been many years since I spent time with Dumont at Alpha Chi Rho in Oneonta, the impression he left remain vivid and valuable. He was a genuine friend and it was an honor to call him "brother," even for a short while. My sincere condolences to your entire family. Go with God, Dumont!
