Kindest thoughts to Duncan's family - Duncan changed my life 10 years ago when he found my long lost Antigonish family. Then he and Ruth hosted a family reunion at their home to complete it all. A consummate dedicated genealogist of all the Chisholm lines - I have only the kindest thoughts for him and Ruth. Kind wonderful people. To Duncan's family - hank you family for sharing them with me.

I am saddened to learn that my uncle Duncan has passed away. Duncan and my father shared a great passion for genealogy and history that brought the past alive to us who are in the present. This was a treasure to listen to and learn from as a mixture of oral and written history.

I was saddened to hear of your father's death. I enjoyed meeting him on his summer and fall visits to Port Hood. He never forgot his Cape Breton roots and was a good friend to the Chestico Museum in Port Hood.
He was keen on geneology and shared with our Museum the fruits of his labour and research. We will miss him and his interest in local history. Our sincere sympathy to his children and brothers and sisters.
