Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of Putt's death. Because of the difference in age, I didn't know him well. But, Martha, I remember some fun times playing at your house on Parkland Drive. I make trips to L'burg regularly to visit my parents at Westminster Canterbury. I have several pieces of your mother's ceramics that I treasure. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts.

Lizann, Nancie, and families,
My brother-in-law, Walter Dixon, wrote to tell George and me about Putt's death. We just want you to know we're thinking about you.
Sincerely, George & Betty Dixon

Nancie, Lizann, Ellen and Martha: my brother Walter Dixon wrote me of Putt's death and referred me to the News & Advance's obituary notice. It has been so long (too long)since we were in touch, but childhood memories of wonderful times with Putt and his sisters in Lynchburg remain strong. My sympathy to you and your children, Nancie, and to all of you. As a trustee now of Randolph-Macon, I am often in Lynchburg, tracing familiar paths. Best wishes, Rebecca
