Not sure what to say?

It was the Lincoln Club that provided our introduction at the time of my candidacy and election to the California state Senate. My thanks to Duncan and Shirley for their support.
Being invited to join the Greater Bay bank board was an honor extended by Duncan and appreciated. Chairing that board and successfully merging the bank with Wells Fargo was one of his many successes.
Jim and I send our empathy and condolences to Shirley and family. May you find peace in your hearts.

Our heartfelt sympathies to the Matteson family. Mr. Matteson's generosity and compassion for people in need enriched our community and benefited the lives of many.

Duncan Matteson was a lovely man. Our paths intersected briefly through his many nonprofit endeavors in the greater Palo Alto/Menlo Park communities in the 1990s, including The Stanford Health Library. He will be mourned and missed.

My Uncle Duncan was a special person in so many ways. His love for family, his community, helping others. He was a Missouri Tiger....I'm a Kansas Jayhawk and I think we both had fun in that fact. He and my Dad were very close as brothers, but as friends as well. Duncan and I forged a different relationship after my Dad passes, he became more of a friend and advisor when I needed one. I'm forever grateful for the life of Duncan and being a wonderful uncle and person that we all can look...

Duncan loved life and embraced it fully. He will live on in the hearts of the many he touched with his generosity. He will live in my heart as a dear friend for 57 years. He adored Shirley, his children, grandchildren and all his family. I pray that they will find comfort in all the wonderful memories they cherish and in knowing Duncan is will the Lord waiting to see them again. Arden Down
