Not sure what to say?

Duncan McKiernan in 2014

We haven't forgotten you, Duncan. And you're dearly missed -- but your most exceptional life story and many, many contributions to Port Angeles live on in the hearts of all of us who knew you.

So sorry for your loss. May you receive strength and comfort from God. "He will make you firm, He will make you strong, He will firmly ground you".1Peter 5:10

I recall Duncan from years ago, as a fellow yard-sale habitué. He used old vacuum cleaners to provide draft for his foundry. We enjoyed running into each other, and Duncan always had a smile and something interesting to say. What a profound talent! Via con Dios, Good Sir.

Here is to you, kiddo. Melinda and Charley

I first meet Duncan when he called and asked for help with moving his old foundry and setting up the new one, at his new house. Thought it might be fun work, 15 or so years worth of fun and work, with a lot of love and more thrown in too boot.
Missed him a lot when I moved out of town. Thanks dearly to the yearly check in phone calls. Miss him more now.
Thanks for letting me stick my fingerprints into his wax.
Charles Friedman aka Charley the Potter

Here's to...

Mr. McKiernan was among the most interesting people I have had the honor of getting to know personally, here in Port Angeles. He will be remembered for his artwork, and many other accomplishments. Semper Fi.

Duncan was so ridiculously talented, and it was easy to become addicted to his infectious, wonderful spirit. He had a great laugh, which could echo through a room and which could be comic or caustic according to the situation. The outpouring of emotion across three Facebook pages this week about his death speaks volumes about Duncan's big personality and the lasting impact he had on so many friends and colleagues.

Goodbye and Godbless, my dear friend. I will miss our many conversations, cherish our hours spent together. I keep the pieces of sculpture you made for me close.

You were the Last Jedi.

Duncan was my neighbor up the hill - we both built at the same time. . . his was new and mine was restored. He was a good neighbor and a great artist and we enjoyed knowing him. Port Angeles has lost a real talent. Mike Libera
