Not sure what to say?

Dear Mary and Ken, Through a series of connections I just heard about your son's passing, and I wanted to send you my love and support. I cannot imagine what a shock this has been to you. I pray you are surrounded by your family and friends to help you through this difficult time. It has been a long time since I have seen you, but that does not change my feelings of friendship and love for you.

Mary & Ken,
Our hearts were broken today after hearing of the loss of your sweet son, Duncan. We were lucky to have met Duncan one evening while having dinner at your home and we were immediately impressed with his good looks, wit, and intelligence. But the one thing that impressed us the most was the respect and love he conveyed to you, his parents. The bond he shared with you both will never be broken. May your enduring love for one another guide you through this time of sorrow and...

Dear Moody Family,

I am deeply moved by the loss of Duncan. His kind demeanor and entheusiastic spirit helped me many times when school was difficult. We would often talk about politics, and we almost always disagreed, but he remained a good friend. I will always hold a profound respect for your son, and will forever miss our conversations. May you find peace during this turbulent time.

Very Sincerely,

I didn't know Duncan as well as many, but in the time I spent with him, we laughed, had wonderful conversations, and I feel I learned a lot from him, whether about metaphysics or quantum physics. While we can never imagine what was in his heart when he left us all, I can only imagine that this state of matter was no longer able to effectively communicate the majesty and glory he is now a sentient part of.

Come Watch the Sun go Home,
As it falls Beyond the Horizon
Be with me, Share my Breath
Hear my sighs, hold my hand.
Come into full Moonlight, Come
All stars from you Slumber
Wake Up! and shine into the Night
Take from this moment the
Fullness of Life -
the Light and the Dark -
May we never forget that which we
Are all Apart

A Wish for Friends and Family - in memory of a true soul companion and spiritual friend. Thank you for...

Mary and Ken, there are no words that can express our sympathies to you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.
Jeff and Janet Hamblin

Duncan was a truly unique soul. His wit, laughter, & friendship will be deeply missed. My heart-felt prayers of comfort and peace to Mary & Ken during this very difficult time.

Mary, I am so very sorry for your loss. I am sorry to say that I did not know your son. He sounds like lovely and gentle person.

My heart goes out to you and your husband.

On Sunday, July 9, 2006, I brought Duncan's spirit to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine by adding a Memorial Candle in his name. I placed him so that he could hear that night's Vespers and by the side door so he could step out into the garden and look for the peacock and stroll in the Rosary when he desired. It is a place of solace and comfort in New York. I send solace and comfort to you, Mary and Ken.
