Dustin Robert "Dusty" Cooper

Almost a year we have lived without you -- I can't believe it has been that long since we heard you laugh. Never far from our thoughts....we miss you my friend, always will.

Dusty was born just about the time I graduated from SLHS and from working at Cooper's Standard - so I never knew him at all except as an infant, but I clearly remember the time for you both, full of positive energy and the faith that everything will turn out OK. It's difficult to bury a child, I know firsthand, its nothing you expect to do, and it feels so cruel at times. But you have life left to live and time left to make Dusty still proud of you both.

Dusty & I worked together for most of my career at CMS. Though he was in Michigan, while I worked in North Carolina, and we rarely met face-to-face, we talked and E-mailed often, talked shop, and shared lots of laughs. Dusty's technical expertise was superb, and he was honestly one of the best people I have ever worked with. This is very sad, and my sincere condolences to all of his family. I will miss Dusty very much, and remember him fondly.

We were so sorry to hear of Dusty's passing. The first time we met him it was as if we had known him for years. He had a great personality and great sense of humor. His Elvis impersonation still makes us smile. You have been and will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. May you find peace and strength during this most difficult time.
