Happy birthday, sweetie. Today is especially hard. I can't believe it's almost been a decade. You always have a place in my heart. Thank you for...everything.

I thought after 7 years we would be able to look back and have nothing but loving memories, but the pain is still here. Everyday. Every tear is also partnered with a smile of how lucky we are to love a real super hero, You were always that guy, way before you went to war. I love you Dustin.

Dustin, I didn't know you in life, but I'm honored to have flown you out that night. I will never forget that desert rain, the lightning in the dark, or the silence that we all shared with your platoon as we brought you on board. I knew the world lost a good man that night.
