Dustin 'Dusty' Thomas Greene. May 23, 1961 - November 4, 2005. Dusty achieved more in his remarkable 44 years than most of us achieve in our three score and twelve! The time he had with us was so painfully and tragically cut short, and we love him and miss him so much. However, he was and will remain a paragon and a valiant servant of a loving Heavenly Father. With honor, on the evening of November 4th, cradled by his younger brother Derick, and with the rest of his loving family gathered 'round, Dusty's Father in Heaven sent his younger sister Tina and her son Ryan, to bring him home to a heaven that he believed in and someday longed to return to. Dusty was a tender husband to his beautiful and unique eternal companion of over 20 years, Patty. And he was an incredible and adoring father of four precious daughters: Savannah (18), Meghan (16), Nichole (12) and Chanelle (10). Dusty was the oldest child of Patsy and Harold Greene, the incredible parents who raised him to be the wonderful man that he was! His surviving siblings include Tina Johnson – beautiful, strong mother of four awesome children; Sandy McElhaney - a wonderful mother of six; Suzy Greene - sweet, loving, mother of two boys; Derick Greene - a man of quiet strength and integrity, and tender father of three; and last, but definitely not least, Cindy Atkin - tender-hearted, angel, mother of three. Dusty was given just forty-four short years to make the most of this beautiful world. In that short time, he worked diligently to build a legacy in every facet of his life. Professionally: A widely successful entrepreneur, yet monetary reward was not his motivator. Rather, an inner desire to be the best, to achieve the extraordinary, and the unexpected. Dusty traveled the world making friends in every culture and walk of life. Physically: An accomplished motocross rider, avid hunter, scuba diver, and fit kind-of-guy! Emotionally: A great friend, confidante, and a man of 'sound' understanding; willing to make a difference, give back, and provide equity and dignity to those who have not. Dusty believed in the wonder of human nature and was constantly striving for excellence. He was willing to care more than others thought was wise, risk more than others thought was safe, dream more than others thought practical, and expect more than others thought possible. Spiritually: A devoted Latter-day Saint Bishop, who served in just about every aspect of Church life. Dusty believed in Jesus Christ and His promises. Dusty knew Joseph Smith was a prophet of a living God. He believed in eternal marriage and knew that families are forever, hence his complete devotion to his wife and daughters. If Dusty wasn't at home, we always knew where his heart was; it was at home with us (unless of course he was hunting or riding!). Dusty's love for life was tangible and unmatched. We would love for you to join us in remembering his awesome life. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2005 from 7-9:00 p.m., Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, Arizona.
