I was a substitute teacher at Foothill Farms JHS when I had Dustin in class as a 7th grader. Unlike how many kids treat subs, Dustin was always polite and respectful. He stood out as a great kid- one whom it was easy to tell had been taught good manners at home. I have been teaching for 23 years now, and he still stands out in my memory. Thank you for coming today. Your presence demonstrates the fact that Dustin had an impact on many people in the Sacramento area. I am very proud of that fact, as I am of everything Dustin did and represented. I’m sure that each of you will miss him and think of him often, as time goes on.

My heartfelt condolences for your tragic loss. I cannot imagine the pain of losing a Son, Grandson, Nephew or Husband.
