Dwaine Janet

CW5 Dwaine Eddie Janet passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 19, 2022 at the age of 78. He was born on December 28, 1943 in Bordelonville, Louisiana. He served his country for 38 years in the LANG and US Army. He rose to the rank of CW5, earning numerous medals and awards. He was a beloved husband, father and "Pop Pop." He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He liked to go to the casino and watching old movies, westerns, football, and golf. He also enjoyed listening to oldies, especially Neil Diamond. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Anthony and Doris Mayeaux Janet. Dwaine is survived by his wife of 57 years, Diana Dalier Janet; daughters, Melissa Janet Collins (Michael II) and Jennifer Janet Medo (Steven); grandchildren, Michael G. Collins III, Nicholas P. Collins, Molly "Katie" Collins, Mallory Janet Medo, and Emily Anne Medo. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Mark Marino; Dr. Jennifer Silinsky; East Jefferson General Hospital and Yenni Treatment Center; Jeanne and the staff of At Home Health Care; and Jacquelyn and the staff of Hospice Specialists of LA.
