Dear Family:
I too would like to express my love and appreciate to a great teacher and a very dear and good friend. Brother Belt taught me. Later we were colleagues and associates at BYU. I always felt that I was learning from him. He taught when he wasn't even a teacher. He had a personal charm and humor that made you love and admire him. He had a passion for teaching teachers. He was a very good man. Fortunately his legacy will continue. Certainly his memory will be cherished. ...

Dear Aunt Glenys,

I am sorry to hear of Dwayne's passing. Both of you were always so helpful and to me and my family. I sure enjoyed our visits. It is a great comfort to know that the separation is only for a short time and there will be eternal joy in the next life together with those we love.

Hello Glynis, it's Clark and Linda Webb. We were saddened to hear of Dwayne's passing, but also know that all is well with him. We have some great memories of I-STEP times and of travels with your family to Mormon history sites in So. Utah.

We're on a proselyting mission in California (Fresno area), due to return in a couple of months.

We wish you and your family the very best and are grateful that you have the Gospel as a comfort at this time.

Glenys & family:
So many years filled with wonderful memories of everyone in the Dwayne & Glenys family. Thanks for allowing us to be a small part of your lives and the lives of your children and grandchildren. We have rarely been around a finer and stronger teacher who taught with energy, strength, and conviction. A remarkable man who somehow was always more disciplined than many. We were saddened by the news of his illness and death.

Dwayne and I knew each other many years ago as he was the assistant Principal at BY High when I was hired there. Later we served on some committee or ad hoc assignments together in the College of Educaton. I appreciated the descriptions of Dwayne in the obituary and in my association with him found them to be true even way back when. I extend my sympathy to Dwayne's family. After leaving BYU Dwayne would have been glad to know that I followed somewhat his footsteps in other institutions. I...

Glenys, Terry, and familyl:
Working with Dwayne at BYU was a privilage and a great learning experience. He teamed with the P.E. Dept. and brought me along as a new faculty member never allowing me to think I was a rookie. What a great teacher and friend. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and to miss the funeral as my husband and I are out of the country. Our love and prayers are with you. Connie Blakemore Cook
