Not sure what to say?

Peanut was a wonderful well respected friend since school. He will be sadly missed, my deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones.

Dwayne wasn't just my husband, he was my highlight of the day, my best friend, and my better half. He showed me what true love feels like, always respectful, laughing, and hard working. My life will be forever changed without you here. Words cannot express the loss and loneliness without you. Knowing your in a better place than we are here on earth is only a small peace of mind. You were an amazing man and will always be loved. God took apart of my heart when he took you. May we meet...

Easter 1981 or 82

Where do I begin...Peanut was a special person to many people, but to those of us who knew him in a more "special" way, he will always be loved and missed. He had the biggest smile and biggest heart. His eyes twinkled when he laughed. You would out of the blue get a call from him checking to see how you were doing. My brother, Dwight and I, will always remember him and his special ways. We love and miss you Peanut.

Dwayne and Bandit at the cabin. A special place that he loved.

Dwayne was a wonderful man. My family and I will always have a special place in our hearts. He played a big part of our lives and we will forever have a part of him with us.

Peanut was my first love - my high school sweetheart. I have so many wonderful memories of those years so long ago. He has always had a place in my heart and just can't believe he is gone. Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. My sincerest condolences for an incredibly great loss. I'll never forget him.

I worked with Dwayne for many years at Ingalls, starting on LPD 19 then we moved over to the Coast Guard Cutters 750-751 and on to the DDG's,He was the example of how to do a complex, high pressure job and still treat everyone with dignity and respect. He would often talk of his family, brothers;children and of his times as a Tug boat captain or building shrimp boats in Bayou Labatre.I know he loved the creek next to his home.Rest in Peace Dwayne.....

Dwayne was an Eagle Scout, Scoutmaster and friend. He is administering the BSA Eagle Oath in a Court of Honors Ceremony for neighboring Troop 127.

Hammie, I'm gonna miss you! Thank you for all the laughs at work! You were took too soon :(.
