Dwayne Allan Richardson

Dwayne Allan Richardson, age 42, of Michigan City, IN peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at University of Chicago Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Dwayne was born on December 29, 1975 in Indiana to Dennis and Pamela (Martin) Richardson. 

He is survived by his wife:  Kelly (Storey) Richardson; parents:  Dennis and Pamela Richardson; sons:  Dakota Guess, River Storey-Richardson, and Canyon Richardson; brother:  John (Michelle) Richardson.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents:  Patsy and Glen Richardson; his cousin:  Jay Ruess; and uncle:  Galen Richardson.

Dwayne was a hardworking millwright for the past 10 years at Arcelor-Mittal Steel.  He was an adventurous and outgoing person who enjoyed every aspect of the great outdoors. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball for many years with the Parks Dept. League for his sons Dakota, River and Canyon.  Above all, Dwayne was a dedicated and outstanding father who strived to create a wonderful life for his children.  Dwayne’s life was filled with a plethora of adventures.  He was known for being an avid fisherman and his extraordinary fireworks display he put on each year.  He always lent a helping hand, no matter the situation.  His character was unlike any other in the sense of being the most caring, easy going, and fun- loving soul around.  Dwayne’s upbeat lifestyle touched many lives and he will be dearly missed.

Memorial Visitation for family and friends will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 2:30 to 6:00 PM at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington St. Michigan City,IN. 

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Truman Wingo officiating.
