Not sure what to say?

Dearest Slater Family:
My heart grieves with you in your time of sorrow. The message that Dwayne had gone Home to be with the Lord came to me at a time of disbelief. However, I, like you, know that Dwayne was a child of the most High King and that he was busy daily making preparations to take his place in the Heavenly Sky. Sis. Slater, thank you for being a wonderful youth leader and encouraging me to reach for the stars. I have never forgotten your loving guidance and help. ...

God bless and keep each of you strong during this time.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

To my best friend and a true answer to prayer. I will miss Dwayne. And my prayers will continue with the family. Sabrina, please call on us if you need anything. Rev Lee and Shirley Kelley

To one of my favorite Pastors who gave the best hugs, I will miss you and your bible teachings, you had a soothing voice that made a person want to listen to the word. Thank you for the word Pastor and I will see you soon.

Our prayers to the Slater family during this time. May God comfort you and keep you strong. Remember that God picks His flowers one at a time. Much love to you from the Davis family...Rev. Gerald & Kathy Davis and family

You will be truly missed.I learned a lot from your teachings.

The Slater family has been wonderful neighbors to my family. I met Dwight and Dwayne when we were teenagers because we lived on corners, shared a side street and our back yards faced each other. My brother John and I enjoyed knowing them and I remember laughing a lot. My heart goes out to your family and my thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of Dwayne. Love, Janice Hudson
