Dear Mrs. King, I'm sorry we missed Mr. King's funeral, as we were on vacation last week. Your husband was a truly lovely gentleman, and we will miss seeing him. You are a beautiful lady, and you have the love and prayers of so many people, including ours. We'll see you at church. Colleen, Ed and Delaney Carey

Dear Barbara,

No one can take away your sorrow, may the support and concern of others help give you the strength you need from day to day

I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT DWIGHT'S PASSING. HE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT BUT GOD SAID IT WAS TIME TO COME HOME. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER SEEING YOU GUYS OUT AT MANY SOCIAL EVENTS. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

My deepest sympathies to the King family. Dwight was one of the most respected men I
ever knew. We spent many days working crime and fire prevention education classes at the Schools around Kalamazoo County and attending fire investigator and inspector conferences together. One of Americas True Heroes has gone home!
