Not sure what to say?

Mr. Manzy was a great principal. I was one of his elemtary students a little over 18 years ago. I never meet a principal/teacher that made school fun. He was the best part of our school announcements and I can still hear him say " come on down " with such excitement and fun for his school. He changed a lot of people´s spirits by his presence and I´m sorry he was taken to soon. He is a great memory in my childhood and my parents still hold him to his great stature that he was til this day.

Dwight was a really kind hearted person. I knew him a short time, as one of my customers. He was a pleasure to work with. I will miss him.

Dwight Manzy was deeply dedicated to the youth of Athens. He seemed to always see the good in folks, especially his students, while still holding them accountable to "do the right thing". He obviously adored his family - very much in love with Gwen and so proud of Bryson and Aaron! I will miss his humor, kindness, and excellent story telling!

Mr. Manzy always had a smile ready. Our grandson attended Whitehead Road Elementary when he was principal there. He was the greatest! God's blessings to his family. He will be missed!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death is so hard to deal with. But there is comfort in knowing we will be reunited with our loved ones. God's word reveals that there will be a time where he will swallow up death forever and he will wipe every tear from our eyes. We all wait in eager expectation for that time to come. May the god of comfortconsole you and your loved ones during this time.

Gwen and boys, you are in my prayers. I was blessed to meet Dwight when I first began teaching as we taught Summer School together. He always had a smile and words of support and wisdom to share. Dwight loved his precious family so much and it was obvious to all that his ministry here on Earth was to inspire and lead by example. May your warm memories sustain you in this time of loss,

This has been a pretty tough week for our community. Mr. Dwight Manzy was my assistant principal when I taught at Cedar Shoals. He was my principal when I taught at W.R. Coile Middle. His beautiful wife Gwen Manzy took my daughter under her wings and helped her to become a great special educator. Gwen and I were pregnant at the same time and attended the same doctor. So she knew my Krystian before she entered the world. My family has an allegiance to the Manzy family. Gwen and family. Mr....
