Dwight V. “Mac” McNeil, 94, of Highland Heights, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood.
Dwight was born on April 5, 1930, in Rockhold, Whitley County, Kentucky to Elmer and Marie (Walders) McNeil. He retired after 30 years as an Assembler for General Motors, Norwood, Ohio. Dwight served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and he volunteered to help the needy or hungry at Soup Kitchens, Master Provisions and Isaiah House. He enjoyed flea markets, garage sales, gardening, church, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Billie F. Shupe in 1990; his parents; and his siblings, Willie McNeil, Terry McNeil and Mary Sexton.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Dawn (Clem) McNeil; daughters, Verna (Vaughn) Hatcher, Pamela (Ronald) Huffman, Joyce (Musial) Pearson and Kimberly (Donald) Cummins; son, Paul Dwight McNeil; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
Visitation 10:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Faith Church, 3830 Narrows Road, Erlanger, KY 41018. Memorial service to immediately follow at 11:00 am. Interment, with Military Honors, will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger is serving the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Dwight's passing. I so enjoyed our gardening chats and "talking tomatoes" at church. Dwight was such a sweet soul.
