Not sure what to say?

Joyce,

What a privilege to have known Dwight, a man we greatly respected and admired. Last fall, when we where in Wheaton, he always smiled at us when we saw him and said he was doing fine.

His heart for missions was probably what impressed us most. You and he were always opening your home, praying and eating with the missionaries that were in the Wheaton area. Many of us have been blessed tremendously by those times together.

We, along with you,...

Dear Joyce,
Jane sent us the service bulletin and today we received another with a newspaper clipping and the folder of tributes from June...such wonderful friends. We too want to add our condolences to you and your family as you miss Dwight in your everyday lives. He was a wonderful friend and as all the tributes mention a shining light in God's kingdom for all those he met. We admired his quiet acceptance of all the medical hardships he had to go through and the truly joyful spirit...

Karen and I were neighbors of Dwight and Joyce here in Silverthorne. We were always happy to have them come to the mountains. You could tell that Dwight was not in good health, but he always said he was just fine. I never heard him complain about anything. Why do bad things happen to good people? Maybe it is to be an example for the rest of us. If he could be cheery with his problems, why do we complain about our minor problems? We will miss him. I'm sorry we didn't spend more time with him...

Dear Joyce:
My sister Ruth forwarded Dwight's obituary for which I am grateful. Just the other day I thought it had been a long time since hearing from any of my cousins. I am sorry to get this news but it is so good to know that Dwight is in the presence of our Lord and Savior. I will be writing to you by regular mail. Blessings to you and all your family during this time.
Lots of love,
Tina and Forrest Parks

We had just come back a couple of weeks ago from visiting Dwight and Joyce when I got the message from Joyce that Dwight had gone to be with his Lord. My son, Scott, and I had stayed with them while we spent some time with my granddaughter, Abby, a first year student at Wheaton College. Dwight and Joyce made us feel like we were doing them a favor by being there. Their love and warmth were special and will not be forgotten.

Dwight was a cousin of mine on my mother's side. He...

We didn't get to see Dwight very much as kids, but I have enjoyed getting to know both of you at the Peterson reunions in Minnesota as well as when you visited me in Washington.

Dwight will be remembered as a faithful servant of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

Love & Prayers

Dearest Joyce and family,
I send my deep condolences to you and yours. What a mighty warrior has fallen! But what a comfort to know that he is at last home with the Lord, worshipping "face-to-face."
May the God of all comfort, comfort you during this season of tremendous loss. Love, Kim

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Psalm 116:15. Dwight was certainly a faithful servant of the Lord. My prayers are with you, Joyce, and the extended family in this period
of adjustment.

It was a great joy to get to know Dwight over the years and work with him both in Quito and Colorado Springs. His contribution to HCJB World Radio was significant, and we will miss him greatly.
