My most sincere sympathy on the loss of your father. Martha and I were best friends long ago in grade school at Brookwood. I have many happy memories of playing at the Sutherland's home, learning to ride a bike across the cattle guard, trying to get away from her pesky brothers. I shall miss seeing him in the mornings at the office. Often I would see him on the elevator, as I went down to fetch a cup of tea. Always, he greeted me with a friendly good morning. Such a gentle man, and a gentleman.
