Dylan B. Prescott, age 20, most recently of Klemme, Iowa, formerly of Plainfield, Wisconsin, and 2013 graduate of Garner-Hayfield-Ventura High School, Garner, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, September 21, 2015, in Klemme, Iowa. Dylan Blake Prescott, the son of Robert "Robbie" and Autumn (Wood) Prescott, was born, January 17, 1995, at Mason City, IA. He spent his early infancy in the Klemme area where he was baptized at the Immanuel Reformed UCC Church in Klemme.
As a young child he moved to Plainfield, WI, where he attended Tri-County Schools through the 9th grade, before returning to Iowa, where he completed his final three years of high school at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura High School graduating with the Class of 2013.
During his school years he was active in cub scouts, and played football, baseball, basketball, and track.
Dylan very much looked forward to being in the outdoors. He enjoyed the solitude of the woods and the exhilaration of the pursuit of whitetail deer, whether it was with a compound bow, or a high powered rifle. Another favorite pastime was spending time on the frozen ice at one of his favorite fishing spots.
Dylan was very much a people person, who relished opportunities to spend times in the presence of his family and friends. He loved to hang out with friends and was in his glory when spending precious occasions with his niece Kory and nephew Kayden Prescott. He enjoyed to role of being their uncle and also was very proud to help nurture and teach life skills and other knowledge to young people around him. Dylan always looked forward to that next adventure with friends, many of which where often random and launched on a whim with destination being whatever came to mind. He enjoyed his cars "when they ran". Many of his travels brought close calls and mishaps!
He was a good cook and know for his one of a kind omelets. He was an excellent welder and liked to "pimp out" golf cars, crosses, and other things with L.E.D. lights. Dylan truly loved the simple things in life such as family, friends, and having fun in whatever he was involved with at the time.
After he graduated from high school he had been employed as a certified welder for Winnebego Industries and most recently at Sukup Manufacturing in Sheffield, IA.
His memory will burn brightly in the hearts and minds of his mother, Autumn (Scott) Anderson, Plainfield, WI; father, Robert "Robbie" (Christie) Prescott, Eldora, IA; paternal grandparents, Jim (Rosalie) Prescott, Klemme, IA; maternal grandparents, James Wood, Webster City, IA, and Alison (Dennis) Gaskill, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; paternal step-grandparents, Larry (Josephine) Anderson, Plainfield, WI; and step grandmother, Jean (Abbas) Alkhajy, Grandon, North Dakota; brothers, Cody Prescott, Steamboat Rock, IA; Joshua and Nicholas Belt, Plainfield, WI, Ahmad Alibahimy, Eldora, IA; Dominic and Dartanian Morin, Eldora, IA; and one sister, Bailey Anderson, Plainfield, WI; his niece, Kori Prescott, and cousin's son, Kaiden Prescott, both of Steamboat Rock, IA; numerous cousins, and countless friends.
Dylan was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and other extended family members.

It is such a sad time when a person reads an obituary of a former student. Dylan was a pleasure to have in class many years ago. I am sure he was a delightful young man. Your family will be in my thoughts during this difficult time.
