Brian and I met Bert and Joan in 2012 . We were being hosted by Harvey and Sue Ellen Fried at the time . My memory of Bert was a caring ,gentle and interesting man , who was always ready to hear about our tales and lives in the UK. My husband always continued correspondence with him and Bert loved all the " funnies" Brian sent to him He was one of life´s rare gentlemen . Denise & Brian Cottam

To a dear friend who was always kind, generous and caring and who made it a point to keep-in-touch with others. We loved you and will miss you.

Bert was a lovely gentleman! I commend him for living a long full, and rich life. My heart goes out to Jane & Jim, and Bill & Maureen. Your father will be remembered by SO many, for SO much that he did. Most sincerely, Tripp
