Not sure what to say?

I remember meeting Dr. Diamond at a dinner in his new home he named Diastole. He was a wonderful host. I was a 1st year resident in medicine at UMKC in 1977. I remember the food was amazing and we enjoyed conversation with Dr Diamond and Dr Ed Twin (our Docent).

Not only an innovator and visionary when it came to the medical school at UMKC but a wonderful, down to earth person . Truly a great man and kind individual .

Dr. Dimond was not only a great man, but a fine gentleman.

I was on his service as a medical student at KUMC in 1959 and he treated his students very well like the gentleman that he was - he expected your best and he always got your best - I ended up a medical school professor to follow in his footsteps -

Dr. Dimond was a true civic and medical giant in Kansas City----with a vision unparalleled. His contributions to Kansas City and the medical world have been profound. Memories of him will be cherished by those of us who had the honor of knowing him. His legacy will be honored throughout time.

There are few men in this world that have reached the greatness of Dr. E. Grey Dimond. He was a true Renaissance Man. Thank you Dr. Dimond for sharing your life with so many of us.

Dr. Dimond's legacy will continue to touch UMCK, Kansas City, America, China...anywhere there is a caring physician or barefoot doctor practicing the art and science of healing.

As a graduate of th UMKC School of Medicine, class of 88, I considered Dr. Dimond a most exceptional scholar, gentlemen and mentor that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I will always remember his many words of wisdom both regarding the practice of medicine, but more importantly, life in general. I will always consider him one of my "idols", and feel fortunate to have been his student and friend.

Always a gentleman. He was one of a dying breed.
