Not sure what to say?

Julie, Jamie, and Kelly,
I wanted to let you know that I have been thinking about Gene and praying for him every time I spoke with Dad and Mom. Your family is so special to me and I will never forget Gene's wonderful smile and laugh.
Love,
Becky Olsen Bond
Eddie, Mallory, and Max

Julie, Kelly & Jamie,
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Gene is at peace now and he's with his hunting buddy. We will all remember Gene because he was a great friend to everyone. If there is anything at all we can do please let us know. You have our deepest sympathy.

To the Parker Family:
My deepest sympathy in your loss.
Gene and I went to Lynchburg College together. A few times we rode in a car-pool from Bedford.

Gene was truly a kind, gentle man. My favorite memory is from lunchtime in the 'hut'. He would offer bear meat sandwiches. I still smile when I think of the reaction of fellow students.

Julie and family,
I am very sorry to hear of Gene's passing. Since leavng Bedford 30+ years ago I am not as diligent as I should be with keeping up with my old friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Juile and Family,
My prayers are with you and I know that he is in a better place with no pain as also is Donna my wife who pass with cancer. Just remember that he will alway be with you in your heart and this day is a celebration of a new life with our Father God.

God Bless you all.

Jaime and family:

Sincerely,
Wanda Adsit & Kristin (Adsit) Baum

Julie and family,
An early remembrance I have of Gene was as a volunteer on a spring weekend following a damaging ice storm at the Peaks. Gene had rounded up all his hunting buddies and anyone else to be a modern day CCC crew cleaning up the CG and picnic areas of downed trees. With Gene’s welcoming smile, we could accomplish anything he asked of us.

My condolences, and peace be with each of you.

Julie, my favorite Gene Parker Story is the one everyone loves to tell about how he would make you scrub the skid marks you made if you were caught speeding on the Parkway. I never really believed it, until I got a chance to ask him personally. He looked at me very serious like, and said "It happened more than once" I will always remember the two of you together, it was always Gene and Julie. I can remember him at school functions for Kelly and Jamie, and I remember the time you and him came...

Julie, Jamie and Kelly,
I am glad Mr. Parker got to go home and spend his last days with all who love him and all he loved. I am so glad I got the chance to know your family! I love you guys and if you ever need anything, a shoulder, hug or just small talk you know where to find me. I am so glad I was working and got the chance to say good-by. Love, Roseann
