Not sure what to say?

My dearest Cleo you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will never forget our journey to Greece with AHEPA! So grateful to have been I. Your company! Much love.

E.John was my best friend when I lived in Portland, Oregon. He made us feel welcome and be a part of his family. It was E.John who encouraged me to move from Melbourne, Australia to Portland, Oregon in May 2008 and through his connection made it possible for me to teach at Mt Hood Community Collega and Portland State University. He and Cleo visited our home in Melbourne, Australia in April 2003. A loyal friend till the end. RIP my dear brother, E.John and hope to see you one day on the other...

In Sympathy, our memories of E. John live forever in our hearts. We remember all the happy family gatherings and wonderful conversations with E. John. He would always keep our interest and give us great advice. We are thinking of you at this sad time wishing you comfort in the days to come. We hope that each day will heal your sorrow and bring you peace. So sorry for your loss, Alan and Bonnie Svendsen

E. John Rumpakis’ dedication, intellect, and compassion were evident in every endeavor he pursued. He was a pillar to the Hellenic community in Portland.
“When good men die, their goodness does not perish, but lives though they are gone.” Euripides.

As the current president of the Beaumont Business Association, I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I feel incredibly lucky to continue the legacy that he started 40 years ago and know that this organization and business district will continue to thrive thanks to the foundation he built. Attached are two pictures of the Dutch Village building that John revitalized in the 70s - one from 1929, the other from 2019. My sincerest thanks to John and my sincerest condolences to his family.

John Rumpakis and my father were boyhood friends. As a kid i spent time in his fathers shoe store. John was a great guy who put more in to life than he ever took out of it. RIP

Portland just lost a valued citizen and wonderful businessman with John´s passing. I was so fortunate to receive a scholarship from him in 1972 that helped me finish my real estate/finance studies at Portland State University. After graduating I obtained my real estate license and worked with him at N.E.W.S., Realtors for over 15 years. I was seeking a broker who truly represented our clients with honesty and integrity, and he showed me how. He demanded perfection in our real estate contracts...
