Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Leo's passing. I knew Leo from the NRC. Remember he was always cheerful and friendly. I didn't know anything about his personal life but after reading his obituary I think he was the most accomplished person ever! What a wonderful life.

I knew Leo from a different era. We were physicists both working on nuclear data at General Atomic in San Diego. He was a very careful investigator. In the late 1960s-early 1970s, he worked on models for scattering of low energy neutrons on various compounds. These data are important for use in nuclear reactor development. Since my work was experimental on very energetic neutron interactions with nuclei, we had no professional involvement. He was always a great person to talk to since he had...

Leo was brilliant and funny. At the NRC, whenever we saw each other, we would immediately engage in discussing our mutual passion for flying. Once when I had lost a contract law case and he had read the decision, he came up to me and said--boy did you really make that Judge mad---now let's appeal it! He was a champion for fairness and gifted writer.

I don´t know what to say - Leo was in equal measure beloved by and intriguing to all who knew him. A great man has passed. We are lucky to have known him.

At the NRC, Leo always helped me and many others in so many ways, not only because of his vast knowledge of law and science, but with consideration and kindness. He was much more than a co-worker; he was a true friend. I will always remember him.
