Not sure what to say?

I was in the Jesuit Band 1981-1984 and have great memories of Mr. Tolle and Mr. McCready together as band directors. I am sure the music is even better in heaven! R.I.P.

Dear Tolle family,
My name is Myron Ice. I am the choral director at The Oakridge School in Arlington, Tx. It is Jan. 5th, and I just returned to school after the holidays to find out the sad news! I am so sorry for your loss.
I have had two students to receive the E. Thayne Tolle Music Scholarship, Monica Knight (the first recipient) and more recently Vanessa Sawtell-Jones.
E. Thayne has been such a wonderful friend and mentor over that past 10 years. All of TPSMEA...

My deepest sympathy to the Tolle family for their loss. Having experienced the loss of my father two months ago, I can relate to some extent, the measure of your loss.

Thayne once took the time to write me a note complimenting my group's sight-reading ability. I have it on my wall at home and read it now and then as a source of inspiration.

Dorrie - Thayne was a good friend. I could always count on him for a smile and a laugh, often accompanied with a funny story. His fish stories were great! A man with such a good nature, combined with compassion for others. I will miss him greatly, but because he knew Jesus Christ, I know we will see him again! Our sympathy to you and all your family.

Sorry we were unable to attend the funeral services. You have our condolences.

My sympathy goes out to the entire family at this time. Thayne was a mentor and a friend who helped me in my development as a music educator. We had lost touch for many years but we spoke to each other this summer. It was great to hear his voice and his always uplifting and encouraging words. He did a tremendous amount of good for the Jesuit music program and for the young men and women involved during his tenure at Jesuit.

Thanks for letting me know where Thayne's obituary was. Will see you on Tuesday.
