Dear Vastyan family: My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. He left a remarkable legacy in every life he touched, and there are so many lives he touched. I remember Fr. Al as a good friend of my father's, and a good friend of our family. He was a dedicated priest and friend to many. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I imagine he and my dad will be doing alot of catching up. Blessings to all of you.

I knew Al for too brief a time. However, it was long enough to understand that we have lost one of our best. How much happier and holy we all would be if we followed his model.

Al was a fine mentor and colleague during my time at Hershey. Much more than that, he was a truly good friend to us all.
