Not sure what to say?

I have been thinking about my wonderful mother in law alot lately. Guess it doesn't help that I have had 3 patients with lung CA. I still can NOT believe that she is gone and having a birthday coming soon.. she wont be around to call and sing happy birthday! At times I wish I would have just recorded her voice. Now we will never her her voice again..Sometimes life is just unexplainable and Not fair....I at times think I am still in denial. I miss you momma J. aka Edif...I will see you again...

Derek , Chris and Lindsay I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. It seems like yesterday when you guys were back here in San Bernardino and these things didn't even exist in our minds. Just know that she is in gods arms and her and Nana are together again. Just know she is always with you. I know it is hard to go through, when my parents died 3 weeks apart it seemed like nothing would ever be the same but you have a strong family and that is what will pull you guys through.

I have been REALLY thinking about you Momma J...I miss you like mad! Even though I know you are in a happier place having tea with Nana, Spending time with grandma Nellie and David my selfishness misses you sooo much! For me and your grandkids. Des said she talks to you alot in her dreams, and Drew broke down the other day. You have brought alot to us with your love and knowledge. You told me to let the kids know that the person sitting on the end of their bed while they are sleeping will be...

I had a hospice patient for the past 2days who has lung cancer, She was battling it for 2yrs. Lost all of her hair and was 5'8 and 80lbs. She had a long battle with this nasty disease. As I look at my patients and how sick they are I thank god EVERY day that My mother in law went quick and painless. As hard as it is to loose someone you love, it takes someone alot worse off to make you realize your family member who you love went in peace.

Jan had such a strong and enduring character. She was a perfectionist, self-reliant, responsible and generous. What wonderful qualities in a human being. Her most precious gift to me was in sharing her lovely daughter Lindsay. Words cannot express my sorrow for her early departure.

Thank you all for your kind words. I must say Jan and I have had our fair share of ups and downs. However in the 19yrs I have known her she has molded me into the awesome mother and person I am today. She has been a mother to me like no other. So I may have been a daughter in law but to me she was a mom! The loss has come to soon for all of us. We are at times angry, sad, and in denial. My children however have lost a grandma like NO other. They will miss the grandma who gave lots of hugs and...

Jan loved being with her grandkids, however she wasn't to fond of a room full of kids! haha

Spending time with family was Jan's favorite thing to do. She was always there for us

Jan LOVED Christmas, especially wrapping gifts and using a whole roll of tape on the boxes and wrapping
