Not sure what to say?

To the family of Earl Bartness...
I just found out about his passing and I am offering my prayers and condolences to you all. I worked as a buyer for Fairway and Nash Finch for many years and knew Earl well. He was a fun person with a good sense of humor...and yes. we did make it through learning those computers when they were new. Sometimes it was a frustration for him but we did it. He will be missed.

You may not remember me. My name is Sharon Roberts, I am Minnie Nolte's granddaughter, Frances Holland's daughter.
I have fond memories of your dad. I always remember him with a wonderful smile and a twinkle in his eye. I remember him and your mom coming down to grandma's cafe in Leland, IA or visiting with them at Uncle Lawrence and Aunt May's house. I used to stop in and see your dad in the grocery store in Albert Lea when I was in high school. He was such a friendly soul.

I was sad to hear about Earl. I last saw him at my mom's memorial service in Minneapolis when Vicky was kind enough to drive there. He was a great friend of my dad's, Bob Krominga, and I always remember him as being such a kind/ hard-working person. We wish you all the best at this difficult time.

To the family of Earl Bartness:

Vicky and Family,
Though I only had a short time to get to know your dad, I know that he touched many lives at The Gathering. We shared many smiles and laughs with him and I am blessed to have known him. God's blessings to you always.

Sincerely,
Kari (Prince of Peace Lutheran Church & The Gathering)
