It was a priviledge and an honor to serve with you in Band 12 in 1973-1974. You were an inspiration to be around and a great sax player!

Mrs. Benge:
I am very sad that Mr. Earl has passed away. When I was in 6th grade and wasn't sure that I wanted to keep on playing an instrument, my mom signed me up for lessons with him at the Band Room. When I saw how much he enjoyed playing his clarinet, I decided that I would give it more of a chance. He was always encouraging and you could see his love of music. Since then, I have been in All County Band several times and have made superiors at the Solo and Ensemble competitions....

Mr. Benge, it was evident when we met you how important family was to you. Your spirit lives on in them and you will be missed by many.
Mrs. Benge and family, may you revel in Earl's life and find solace in his everlasting presence. Our thoughts are with you.

It was a pleasure to have played and served with you Earl - way back in the 50's in Band 118 (Argentia, Newfoundland). My heartfelt condolences to all your family, and may you be at rest and peace with your God.
