Earl W. Buffey (Bill)
Of Flint, MI, beloved husband of 42 years to Mary E. Buffey, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2021 at the age of 93.
Bill was born in Flint, MI to the late Thomas and Ida Buffey on April 16, 1928.
Upon graduating from Flint Central High School in 1947, he proudly served in the Army, before retiring from GM Truck & Bus after 39 years.
He was an avid golfer, enjoyed boating, walking with his buddies, and working out at the gym into his 90s.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or The Humane Society.
He is survived by daughter, Kim Buffey (Deb) of TX;
step-daughter, Debra Collins (Robert) of Flint;
step-son, Kenneth Daniel of Flint;
grandchildren, Courtney Simpson of Flint, Holli Daniel of FL, Staci Gibson (Justin) of Kalamazoo, Colton Collins of Flint; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held 2 pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Visitation from 12-2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

My grandpa is so special to our family. He showed all of us the importance of waking up early, keeping our bodies healthy, being responsible, taking pride in good craftsmanship, rocking green party pants at Christmas, and always saving room for pie. Especially saving room for pie.
