My father, Manuel Lillo, was a very good friend of Mr. Carillo's many years ago before he passed away in 1986. I can remember spending a lot of time with Earl and Frances at their home in Sebastopol when I was very young, along with my sister Ramona and my brother Frank. I often think of him when I would pass by the house on my way to Sebastopol. Earl was a good man and I will always remember his smile.

I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Mr. Earl in the final year of his life on this earth. To be able to talk with him and to hear his stories of his life was a treat.
Mr. Earl was a joy to talk with and just to be able ask him of things many of us took / and still may take for granted. As example, what things were like before there was TV, radio and even telephone.
Go with God Mr. Earl. This world will miss you but you are in a better place now.
