I'm just learning of Earl's passing and sadden not to have had a chance to say goodbye. He was a great technician and mentor for many young Navy electronics maintenance men. I learned much on Navy sonar systems and torpedo tubes from him. Thank you (Earl) for the training since 1985, while I was aboard USS Claude V. Ricketts (1985-88) and USS Estocin (1997-2002).

I just found out today from the NAVSEACENLANT Retirees of Earl's passing. My deepest sympathy to the Exum family. I worked with Earl for years when I began my government career and he was always a very nice, polite and kind man. May God continue to bless each of you.
