I met Earl in 1962 when I was in the Navy attending Allison General Motor's Engine School in Indainapolis. He was working on his Teaching Credintial at IU during his off season from the Chargers. He was so nice to me! He even loaned me his car for a date! Imagine our surprise years later when we met through Ernie BarnesI and I reminded him of where and when we met! I was so proud he invited me to the Chargers reunion. I love Big Earl. Bill Withers
